報告一: MAPK and WNT Signals Meet at the Intestinal Stromal-epithelial Stem Cell Niche
MAPK信號在腸道損傷修復及炎症過程中的調控作用仍不清楚👩👧♉️。聚焦進化保守的MEKK2激酶分子,我們發現了由新型腸道間質細胞MRISC組織的幹細胞Niche通過特異調控WNT信號強度👨🏿🚀,促進損傷腸道的修復。
報告二🧑🏿🎄:Various Roles of Dual-specificity Phosphatases (DUSPs) in Cancer
Cancer development is underlain by various genetic mutations which drive uncontrolled cell growth and resistance to apoptosis. The mutations in the RAF/RAS/MEK/ERK pathways are frequently found in various types of cancer where the constitutive activation of ERK promotes cancer cell growth, survival and tumorigenesis. The dual-specificity phosphatases (DUSPs) are the major negative regulators of MAP kinases including ERK, JNK and p38. These evolutionary conserved phosphates dephosphorylate the Serine/threonine and tyrosine residues in their substrates. Studies including ours showed that in addition to MAP kinases, these DUSPs are able to regulate the phosphorylation and activation of other important signaling molecules such as IRF3 and STAT3. Our investigation on the roles of several DUSPs including DUSP4, DUSP6, DUSP10 and DUSP16 showed their important function in cancer development and cancer response to treatment. In this talk, I will use two of our studies, the regulatory function of DUSP6 and DUSP16 in cancer, to show the various roles of DUSPs in cancer through differential mechanisms.
